  • To be included in the competition, you MUST submit your entry before the end of the day on Monday, October 14.

  • Be creative with your resources for your decorations: consider using recycled and/or repurposed materials.
  • The cost of materials is the responsibility of the individuals participating. Use removable adhesives (NO nails, staples, duct tape, etc.).
  • Use non-combustible materials to decorate your door.
  • Do not use free-standing items (objects that would obstruct egress in the hallway/doorway).
  • Do not overload outlets, use excessive extension cords, or multiple outlet adapters.
  • Tape down any cords along the ground.
  • Be mindful of all fire safety expectations in the residence halls. If needed, consult the Community Living Handbook.

Welcome to Terpsville!

Each door will be judged by a panel of Resident Life staff and student leaders on the following criteria: Creativity, Theme/Spirit, and Originality.

Judging will take place between Tuesday, October 15 to Thursday, October 17. The panel will select their top entries from the online submissions to visit during Homecoming Week and select the Grand Prize winner and Runner Up from those finalists.
