Resident Director (RD)

The Resident Director typically oversees the day-to-day operations of a residence hall on campus. Their responsibilities include creating a positive living environment, managing student staff, implementing community-building programs, addressing resident concerns, and enforcing housing policies. RD’s play a crucial role in fostering a sense of community within the residence halls and supporting the overall well-being of students living on campus.

Community Director (CD)

The Community Director is responsible for the supervisory, community development, and administrative functions for a residential community of approximately 1500-2100 students. They actively lead and model practices that foster equity and inclusion in a diverse community of resident students, student employees, and professional staff. CD’s supervise 3-4 Resident Directors and manage administrative functions, including budget, policy implementation, and on-call emergency coverage, ensuring effective customer service.
