Ashley Elliott, LCSW-C
Embedded Counselor for Resident Life
elliash@umd.eduHello, Terps! My name is Ashley, and I am the Embedded Counselor for Resident Life. Since earning my Master of Social Work degree in 2018, I have worked in a variety of settings supporting individuals as they navigate challenging and stressful experiences. Before joining the Terp community, I spent two years working with resident life students at the University of Washington, where I developed a strong appreciation for the unique experiences that come with living and learning on a college campus.
College can be an exciting time, but it can also bring unexpected challenges. Whether you are adjusting to being away from home, learning to communicate with a new roommate, navigating relationships, managing academic or personal stress, or simply trying to balance the many demands of being a student, having a supportive space to talk can make a difference.
Whatever brings you in, my goal is to provide a welcoming and supportive space where you can talk openly about what is going on, explore what you need, and identify next steps together.I look forward to connecting with you and supporting you during your time at Maryland!
