Summer Move-in
Move-In Day Checklist
Packing for Move-in Day

Most students bring too much stuff! Please "pack light" for your first trip to campus. If you can, leave your largest and least essential items at home until you and your roommates have seen your apartment and talked about those items that you will contribute to its decoration. Make sure you pack photos, posters, and other favorite belongings that will help you feel settled in.

Storage space will be limited to your closet and under your bed. Your room will have a regular twin bed (36"x75"), dresser, desk and desk chair, closet, and separate data and cable lines for each student. The room also will have window blinds, fire sprinkler, smoke detector, and a shared telephone line.

Because you will be performing household chores such as carrying out the trash, dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning bathrooms and kitchen, make sure you pack supplies like paper towels, sponges and non-abrasive cleaner and kitchen items (pots and pans, utensils, etc.).
