Somerset Hall is a three-story, coed, traditional style building that accommodates approximately 121 residents. All living quarters are comprised of singles, doubles, triples and quads. Most academic buildings and libraries are less than a 5-minute walk away.

Somerset Hall is home to the CIVICUS living-learning program. Program offices and classroom are located on the ground level of the building.

Residents living in Somerset Hall have access to a study lounge, computer lab and a laundry facility conveniently located in the basement of the building. Each room is complete with data jacks for private telephone and computer use, and cable connections for each student. The building is equipped with air conditioning and some rooms are accessible for persons with disabilities.

Resident Life Staff

Resident Life staff are available to assist residents with a variety of needs. The Resident Life Staff is responsible for managing the residence halls, as well as creating a social, cultural, and academic environment through various programs. Community Assistants operate the residential community’s 24-hour service desk. Located in adjacent Queen Anne’s Hall, the service desk is the central location for which students pick up mail, obtain spare keys, and make other customer service related requests. Three Resident Assistants live in the building, along with one full-time Resident Director, who also lives in an adjacent building, and supervises the Resident Assistant staff.
