Graduate Assistantships (2018–2019)

Graduate Assistantship Position, Department of Resident Life Thank you for your interest in a Graduate Assistant position with the Department of Resident Life.

There are five openings in four different Graduate Assistant roles for 2018-2019. These are 12-month, 20 hour/week positions beginning in July 2018. Benefits of these positions include a stipend, tuition remission at the standard tuition rate, and access to participate in the UMD health insurance plans.

Please note, housing is not provided with these positions.

Step 1

Applications will be accepted online at the employment website until positions are filled. For best consideration, submit a cover letter and resume to this posting by February 12, 2018. Applications will not be accepted via email.

Step 2

In the cover letter please indicate which of our GA positions you are interested in and the order of preference.

Step 3

Submit proof of application or acceptance to the University of Maryland Graduate School and the name of the department or school to which you are applying. This document may either be submitted as part of your application as “Supplemental Document 1” online at the employment website or via email to drlhr@umd.edu.

Acceptable forms for proof of application or acceptance include, but is not limited to: copy of application submission confirmation received via email, copy of letter received via postal service confirming your application has been submitted, copy of official letter of acceptance, enrollment verification form (if currently attending the University of Maryland).

Step 4

As part of this application you will be prompted to request two letters of reference which will be collected through the UMD system. Please follow these instructions in the application.

Step 5

The proof of application and letters of reference will be accepted until February 26, 2018.
