The Arrival Survival Team (AST) is looking for student leaders willing to help students during Fall 2017 opening. Being an AST member is an enjoyable, engaging and rewarding experience that looks great on your resume.
AST was created in 2004 by the Department of Resident Life. That first team of 35 students has now grown to over 100 team members with a reputation of great customer service and dependable assistance to new students and their families, as well as Resident Life staff.
Our team members are positive role models willing to be friendly and lend a helping hand during Fall Move-in. Team members work the two main days of opening, acting as a resource for new-to-housing students and their families. In return you'll get to move in early, get free stuff, gain leadership experience, and get the first chance to meet your new neighbors!
- Leadership experience
- Volunteer and Teamwork experience
- Meet and greet new residents and their families!
- Move in early — beat the rush!
- Breakfast and lunch on move-in days for volunteers
- T-shirts and other prizes
